BVA News: Still time to buy tickets to BVA Live, an exciting new event for the whole veterinary community

Today marks just one month to go until the launch of the very first BVA Live, a brand-new event packed with exhibits, big issue debates and high quality CPD to inspire and empower those in the veterinary community.

There is still time to buy tickets for BVA Live, which takes place from 23 – 24 June 2022 at NEC Birmingham and is being held by the British Veterinary Association and organisers of the London Vet Show, CloserStill Media (CSM).

A new clinical nursing CPD stream, supported by the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA), has recently been added to the bill and will see a new Nursing Theatre hosting thought-provoking sessions created with veterinary nurses in mind.

BVA Live will also include state-of-the-art practical training, which will be run in partnership with Central CPD, throughout the event. The wet labs will host world-class veterinary educators Ross Allan, James Rushton, Leonor Roses and Emma Donnelly. There are seven, hour-long courses to choose covering GDVs (nursing), ophthalmology, respiratory emergencies, suturing techniques (nursing), arthocentesis and bone fracture repairs. Places for this are limited and booking is essential. Bookings will open for delegates this week and will be open until June 10.

The new nursing stream and practical training sessions join an already exciting programme, including an extensive exhibition, interactive pop-up discussions and debate sessions on today’s big topics such as flexible working, sustainability and canine fertility clinics, and special sessions on business and careers to empower veterinary professionals and help them get the most out of their occupations.

BVA President Justine Shotton said: “BVA Live is a fantastic opportunity for the veterinary community to get together to champion, support and empower the profession.

“From exciting debates with experts from inside and outside the veterinary profession to pop-up sessions on hot topics, discussions on careers and now the new nursing stream, there is something for the entire team to look forward to.

“We’re so excited to be able to bring everyone together in person and hope as many people as possible take up this valuable chance to network, learn and be inspired.”

Charlotte Ellicott, head of content and marketing for the Vet Shows, said: “What’s great about BVA Live is the range of education available and the wet labs give attendees the opportunity to really embed a new surgical skill. I’m really excited to be working with Central CPD who have a great reputation in delivering engaging practical courses.”

BVA Live is open to the entire veterinary community, not just BVA members. Buy tickets and find out more about the entire programme at https://bvalive.vetshow.com/ to book or call +44 (0)2476 719 687 to discuss ticketing options.
