Essential Dentistry Skills for Veterinary Nurses 7-Hour Attendance Course

Wednesday 30th March 2022: Bolton Lancashire

ÂŁ259 inc Lunch, Refreshments, Workbook and CPD Cert worth 7 Hours.

This course is suitable for Veterinary Nurses and SVN’s.

This attendance course discusses the key skills required for safe and practical dentistry to include tooth anatomy and dental formulae, home care, radiography, nerve blocks and much more.

You will learn what is normal/abnormal and be able to assess teeth during routine clinics to be able to further support clients on oral healthcare at home and feel confident with your recommendations. We will look into what a registered veterinary nurse (RVN) and student veterinary nurse (SVN) are legally allowed to do in practice including setting up and running successful dental clinics, anaesthesia/analgesia considerations and the practical aspects of dentistry from gingiva probing to descaling. There will be a separate module on dental radiography as this is a relatively new procedure in the dental world.

These modules are designed with patient welfare at the forefront, firstly for home care and client compliance and secondly how to minimise anaesthesia time by being confident and competent in what you are doing.
Written and Presented by Sarah Ramsden (The Dental RVN) and Kindly Sponsored by IM3
