This course will guide the veterinary nurse through all the components of infection control including the physiology of the immune system and its functions, routes of disease transmission and much more…

Who is this course for?

Is this course for me?

This course will guide you as a veterinary nurse through all the components of infection control, including the physiology of the immune system and its functions, routes of disease transmission, infection control protocols, barrier nursing and other biosecurity factors.

There will also be details on some of the more commonly witnessed infectious diseases.

As a Veterinary Nurse, you play a vital role in the prevention, management, and control of infectious diseases within the veterinary environment.

You can make a significant difference to the outcome and potential spread of infectious diseases.

The veterinary nurse’s knowledge of the disease, its route of transmission and the correct protocols to manage it, will facilitate skills necessary to make informed decisions on the correct handling of each case.

You are also ideally placed to support client education on infectious diseases, transmission, control, and prevention, with nurse clinics being the ideal platform in which to convey this information.

All our courses include small bitesize videos with an accompanying workbook, so you don’t have to write a single word (unless you want an excuse to get your stationary out 😉)
